Executive Committee

In May of 1955 a trust was established by local business leaders that was to be known as the Greater New Bedford Industrial Foundation. The purpose for the establishment of the GNBIF was to work towards solutions that would increase employment in the city of New Bedford by a continuous effort to aid local industry in expansion while attracting new industries to the community.

The Trust is currently made of 114 members—this number cannot exceed 200. The Trustees established an Executive Committee for the purpose of administering the strategic leadership as well as the management of the GNBIF. The Executive Committee is elected from the GNBIF members and is comprised of the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary and not more than 14, nor less than five additional members.
